Thailand Want No More Corruption Ministers

A poll on the topic “What kind of ministers Thai people want?” has found that the most desirable quality is honesty and the ministers people will like the most must be unbiased.

The poll by Suan Dusit Rajabhat University was conducted with 1,760 people nationwide during 22-26 January 2012. It has shown that the ministers people want the most should be honest and adhere to the right principles that benefit the society. The second most desirable quality is leadership with good teamwork and independence, followed by determination, hard working and reliability.

Most of the respondents said the ministers whose performance will impress the public the most should work systematically and transparently. As for the ministers whose conduct will be liked the most should have integrity, strictly adhere to regulations and set a good example for their subordinates.

On the other hand, the respondents have suggested that the behavior a minister should avoid most is corruption and abuse of power for personal gain, followed by intervention in others’ work and rudeness.
