The creative city prototypes are among the Governments creative projects to encourage all sectors of Thai society to be aware of the creative economy by combining talent, knowledge, and new technologies with cultural resources to generate local income and job opportunities.
A total of 10 provinces have been selected as creative city prototypes in response to the Creative Thailand policy, aimed at increasing the value of Thai products and services and strengthening the overall Thai economy.
According to the Director-General of the Department of Intellectual Property, Mrs. Pajchima Tanasanti, the 10 provinces were selected from more than 70 provinces. They include Chai Nat, Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Nan, Phetchaburi, Maha Sarakham, Yala, Lop Buri, Lampang, and Ang Thong.
