TravBuddy Friends, I am very sorry, I tried very hard but, it is impossible for me to give this hotel less than five stars in any of your categories. Also, I am very peeved with myself. For many years the, on line rants at this place, discouraged me from staying. I curse myself for believing the nonsense written and depriving me of years of pleasure. I normally stay at the Ambience, another very find hotel. Last February staying at the Ambience, I took a friends advice and had a quick hop around the corner to the Penthouse to view this much publicized retreat for bugs (cockroaches, mice, rats etc.). In fact I expected to find groups of bugs all holding hands and walking around the hotel. What a shock for me to find a wonderfully clean and well run establishment. Many happy couples were evident. Most holding hands and, having fun. I did a room tour with an English man. He very wittily described the hotel to me with a few interesting stories. The tour stunned me. I couldn’t believe such a wonderful place existed in Pattaya and, so close to where I had been staying for many years. There and then I booked my room for Jan ’10.
Now, nearly 1 year later and, nearing the end of my stay, the standards I saw last year have been excellently maintained. I must confess that I have hardly left the hotel premises since I arrived. Last night I fully intended to go out for dinner. I took the lift, down to reception, and bumped into a group of the gorgeous Obsession Club dancers. They, yet again, coaxed me into the club. Dinner came much later courtesy of room service. Regrettably I only have 2 days left. Checking out will be a struggle. Oh, forgot to mention the indoor pool/spa. Not really my cup of tea. I prefer more private pool/Jacuzzi parties. Although, I witnessed quite a few people who did find this their cup of tea. Each to their own and, my room did have a Jacuzzi. Will be back soon; maybe even sneak in a week during May!!
