The tunnels used by the Viet Cong were notorious. They were the key in the battle against the Americans. Hundreds of miles of tunnels and chambers were the solution against bombing and for surprise attacks.
At Cu Chi (near Ho Chi Minh City) a part of the tunnels were “adapted” for tourists. You can even enter a 100 meter long tunnel - twice the sice as the original! The visit starts with a movie highlighting the Vietnamese glorious battle. Cruel booby traps are proudly shown and at the end of the tour you are offered a cup of VC tea (non poisoned).
