Teda is a new area that is only 20 years old and is still being built up so there is a lot of construction around here. It has some nice parks and is close to a great fabric market. There are lots of things to do in the area, and it is only an hour from Beijing by train. Be warned there is a lot of air pollution here, and China is a very noisy country. Fireworks are an unbelievably popular here and they use them like they are going out of style at all hours of the day. There are all kinds of food choices here, but one of my favourites is at the veggie market where they have some fantastic sweet and sour pork, and some grilled green beans with chilies. There is also Thai, Korean, Indian, Western, Mexican, Japanese, Irish and of course Chinese food.
