Cambodia was so…unexpected. I had a great time visiting the temples. Everything was so pure - Sometimes I felt like I was discovering it myself for the first time. Climbing and touching the scattered rock. Walking in the footsteps of royalty and priests. You can envision the kings who ordered these beautiful structures. And you can feel the pain of the slaves who built them. The incredible architecture was rivaled only by the warmth of the Cambodian people. They were kind, friendly and young. Bright minds stunted by education and corruption. Their eyes filled with excitement as we talked about their future and what they dreamed of.
