Beppu, Japan>, Jun 04, 2007
We arrived in Beppu by train and had to store our luggage at the train station. Then each of us went on their way to explore what beppu had to offer. I decided to wonder around the city a bit to have lunch, then I would go to the Umitamayo Aquarium. It’s not as big as the Kaiyukan Aquarium in Osaka, but still a nice one to visit. It’s next to the coast line and after I had visited the aquarium, I walked on the boulevard for a while, taking in the fresh sea air.
After leaving the aquarium, I went back to the city and went to the Beppu Tower, going to the top and have a view of the city, before having a drink to cool down from the hot weather. Then I walked through the small streets of the city, before doing some souvenir shopping at Tohiwa Department Store, bought a sushi dinner to eat in the train and finally return to the train station to continue the journey to Kumamoto where we arrived in the early evening.
